State Relations
The State Relations office serves as MSU’s base for interacting with the state’s legislative and government leaders. The staff works in collaboration with the president’s office to develop and advocate for budget and policy initiatives that enhance MSU’s strategic position and its relationships with the state legislature.Katie John

Katie John serves as Michigan State University's interim vice president for government relations while continuing to serve as associate vice president of state relations. In her role, Katie represents MSU with stakeholders from state government including the executive office, legislature, and state agencies. More
