BIOGRAPHY

Janet Lillie serves as assistant vice president for community relations at Michigan State University. In this role she connects MSU with community, business, and municipal leaders across the Greater Lansing Region on initiatives that advance mutual interests. She serves on a number of local boards including the Arts Council of Greater Lansing, Capital Area Michigan Works!, Lansing Rotary and the Michigan State University Federal Credit Union. In 2018, Lillie was president of the International Town Gown Association and continues to serve on that board today. Prior to joining the Government Relations Office, Lillie served as associate dean of undergraduate education for MSU's College of Communication Arts and Sciences where she oversaw all aspects of undergraduate education in the College and taught numerous courses. Lillie earned her bachelor of arts in communication and German from Miami University, and her master of arts and her doctorate both in communication from Michigan State University.
